The Shoprite Group donated another 25 920ℓ of water to De Rust.  Noluthando Mwati (Deputy Mayor, Oudsthoorn Municipality), Pieter Luiters (community member) and Hendrik Ruiters (Councilor) accept the water donation from Freddie Victor (Branch Manager, Checkers Oudtshoorn).

The Shoprite Group has donated more than 41 000ℓ of water to De Rust this month amidst severe water shortages in the Karoo town. 

Earlier this month Shoprite Oudtshoorn dropped off 15 120ℓ of bottled water at the De Rust Municipality, while Checkers Oudtshoorn handed over another 25 920ℓ of water to De Rust Disaster Management this week. 

In recent weeks the Shoprite Group has reached out to support numerous disaster relief efforts across South Africa as the country continues to be plagued by natural disasters ranging from the ongoing drought to flash floods and runaway veld fires. Read more here.
