Become a SMME supplier
Shoprite Next Capital is dedicated to empowering and growing local, commercially viable SMMEs as part of our ongoing efforts to give small suppliers access to our consumer market.
We focus solely on small suppliers and enterprise supplier development (ESD).
Shoprite is the first retailer in South Africa to introduce an exclusive private label product range (called Homegrown) which is locally sourced from primarily small, medium and micro enterprises.
If you have a small local enterprise with an annual turnover of R5 million or less, and a one-of-a-kind product to sell, you’re invited to join the largest supplier network in Africa.
Get your product on our shelves.
Let us help you grow your business and become a Shoprite supplier. Start by telling us about your product and completing our small business application form.
Shoprite small supplier benefits include:

- Growth planning
- Working capital support, with financing options like CredX

The small supplier application process:
Provide essential information about your business and the unique products you wish to put on our shelves. Have the following documents ready to submit:
- Business profile
- Proof of annual turnover
- B-BBEE certificate
- Health & safety certificate (if applicable)
Our team diligently reviews and validates the documents you've submitted. Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
On successful document validation, the supplier meets with a representative from the procurement or supplier development team to understand the business.
Product samples may be required to undergo quality checks.
If the supplier is sucessful in its application to enlist, the detailed onboarding process will start. The supplier will receive comprehensive guidance and support to seamlessly integrate their products into the Shoprite ecosystem.

You can still qualify for the SMME programme if you do not have a B-BBEE certificate. Simply go to your nearest police station and complete an affidavit to confirm your B-BBEE status.
