Shoprite’s Mobile Soup Kitchen served warm, nutritious soup and bread to the community of Noordgesig in Soweto, on Tuesday, 8 March 2022.

This marked the start of an ongoing relationship with the community, including the Noordgesig Primary School, enabling the Shoprite Mobile Soup Kitchen to serve on a regular basis.

Hunger relief and food security is at the core of the Shoprite Group’s corporate social investment programmes and its Mobile Soup Kitchens are one of the many ways in which the retailer fights hunger in communities across South Africa.
