Following the past weekend’s flash floods in the Eastern Cape, the Shoprite Group acted swiftly to bring relief to affected community members in East London.

The Group immediately dispatched a Shoprite Mobile Soup Kitchen. The Mobile Soup Kitchen continues to serve warm meals to those displaced and affected by the floods and will remain in the affected area for as long as necessary.

Food parcels with cooking oil, instant soup, rice, samp, beans and other non-perishable food items were packed and handed to Gift of the Givers to distribute to displaced and affected families. Stationery packs were also donated.
