The Shoprite Group recently showed their appreciation for the healthcare workers fighting the Covid-19 pandemic at the National District Hospital in the Free State.

Care packages containing snacks, water and essential toiletries like soap and waterless hand sanitisers were distributed to medical and support personnel, along with greeting cards specially drawn by children from early childhood development centres supported by Shoprite.

Last month the Shoprite Group also donated care packages to the Free State Department for Health, for distribution amongst Covid-19 patients at the Pelonomi, Universitas, National District and Free State Psychiatric hospitals.

The packages were distributed along with greeting cards specially drawn by children from early childhood development centres supported by Shoprite.

Since the start of the pandemic the Group has donated thousands of care packages to hospitals in the Eastern Cape, Gauteng, Free State, KwaZulu Natal and the Western Cape.
