The Shoprite Group has acted swiftly to bring relief to community members affected by severe flooding in the Overberg district. 

Two Shoprite Mobile Soup Kitchens arrived in Bredasdorp and Riviersonderend earlier today, where it is serving warm cups of soups to affected community members. The Mobile Soup Kitchens will remain in the Overberg for as long as necessary.

The Group also donated basic food items, toiletries and water to the Bredasdorp fire station, and has dispatched a large consignment of warm blankets due to arrive later today.

Customers wishing to donate non-perishable food items can do so at the collection trolleys available at the following Checkers supermarkets: Bredasdorp, Swellendam, Hermanus and Whale Coast Mall.
