The Shoprite Group donated 200 care packs containing hygiene essentials to patients at the Rev Dr EM Chabula-Nxiweni Field Hospital in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday, 28 July.

This follows the earlier donation of hampers, in partnership with the Kolisi Foundation, to the Dora Nginza Hospital and provision of hygiene packs to the Frontier Hospital in Queenstown. Each care pack contains a waterless hand sanitiser, soap, face cloth, toothbrush and toothpaste.

“The patients being treated at the Rev Dr EM Chabula-Nxiweni Field Hospital come mostly from our vulnerable communities, while some are being directed from Private Hospitals, so we are extremely grateful to Shoprite for holding hands with us to support these patients as they embark on the road to recovery,” says Mr Ulungile Sontyale, Acting CEO of the Field hospital.
