It is not too late to join Africa’s Biggest Cleanup Event powered by Shoprite as over 6000 people across the continent come together to clean their communities in more than 500 different events.

Become part of the movement by leading your community or participating in a cleanup taking place from 14-18 July. Register on www.actforchange.africa, a digital platform developed jointly by the Shoprite Group and volunteerism organisation Brownie Points.

Recycling is a key component of the initiative and thus the website contains information about local recycling partners and waste management companies. It also gives guidance on how to organise and what to bring to a cleanup.

The Group’s Free State division has been organising cleanups of the Bloemfontein CBD each month since March 2018.

Below are some of the cleanup events planned for major centres in South Africa. More details can be found on www.actforchange.africa.
