Gugs community pulls together to upgrade local school

“The delight on our children’s faces was evident the moment they walked into their ‘new’ classrooms. The cubicles for their bags have had the greatest impact. Before they used to put their bags on the chairs, but now each child has their own cubicle with their name on.”

We were looking for financial support to renovate the school. I want to thank Shoprite for the enormous change they have made at our school. Shoprite partnered with NPO NewKidz, which implemented the changes at the school. In the past the school has been subject to vandalism and theft. The hope is that with the parents’ direct involvement in the renovations such incidences will soon cease.
