Thousands of children will be treated to special Easter egg hunts as Shoprite and Checkers enable over 75 homes and facilities for the aged to host events this April.
Caregivers, teachers and staff members from the local Shoprite or Checkers store will be on hand to assist the children as they excitedly search for a myriad of hidden Easter treats. These will take place at various crèches, preschools and orphanages across South Africa, including Care Village in Middelburg, Dalukhanyo Preschool in Langa and Khanyisa Drop-In Centre in Mpumalanga.
In addition, more than 2 000 senior citizens will be treated to tasty hot cross buns, chocolate eggs and more as Shoprite and Checkers also host special teas at old age homes across the country.
Shoprite and Checkers are committed to #ActForChange and therefore have a proud tradition of reaching out to and caring for the local communities in which it operates.
