Following last week’s devastating fire at the hostel of the Gamble Street Secondary School in Uitenhage, the Shoprite Group has reached out and donated blankets, bath towels, stationery, school bags and clothing to the 80 learners who were affected.

The Shoprite Group is committed to supporting and reaching out to local communities, and has a long history of taking hands with local partners to respond to needs quickly and effectively.

The Group donated hundreds of Rands in goods and kind to assist the thousands of people affected by the Knysna Fires and Cape Storm in June 2017 and continues to work with disaster management authorities an ongoing basis to ascertain where assistance is needed.
