Growing up in Amalinda, East London with her mother and two younger siblings, Grace Kachoko dreamed of becoming a pharmacist in her local community. Soon this dream will become a reality as Kachoko is now studying towatrds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) at Nelson Mandela University thanks to a bursary from the Shoprite Group.

Now in her first year at Nelson Mandela University, Kachoko says the bursary was a huge relief as it was difficult for her mother to raise three children alone.

With 58% of unemployed South Africans aged 15 - 34 and a shortage of funding for many students in need, the Shoprite Group is searching for bright, hard-working young people like Grace Kachoko who need financial support in order to continue their post-school education.
