Shoprite and Checkers will match customer donations made in aid of the Cancer Association of South Africa’s (CANSA) Shavathon events held at selected stores in the Free State and Northern Cape this month.

CANSA’s Shavathon was first introduced in 2003 as a way of showing solidarity and supporting cancer patients, as losing hair is a common side effect of cancer therapy. Since then, options have been added for those who prefer not to shave their hair.

Customers are invited to support the CANSA Shavathon events at the following Shoprite and Checkers supermarkets between 09:00 and 13:00:
