Shorite and Checkers will be celebrating the legacy of South Africa’s former President Nelson Mandela with 18 birthday parties for senior citizens to be held on the 18th of July at selected venues countrywide. Each of these events will provide no less than 67 minutes of fun, food and entertainment to seniors from surrounding communities. Through these celebrations the supermarket chains hope to inspire again in our senior communities the appetite and passion for a better life – the life that Mandela wanted for us all!
