The last 27 Shoprite Checkers Championship Boerewors regional winners were announced during elimination rounds held on 29 August at selected locations countrywide. This makes for a grand total of
87 regional winners, out of the more than a thousand entrants who entered and competed this year, that remain standing to continue the boerewors battle in ten provincial rounds on 19 September. A provincial round will be held per province, except for Gauteng where two competitions will be held.

Find a provincial round close to you and watch the boerewors-fundis from your province battle it out for a place in the grand finale that takes place at Sun City on 3 October 2009.
