Only the second of its kind in the Western Cape, a new Checkers Foods - conveniently located at Clara Anna Fontein Lifestyle Estate in Durbanville - opened its doors for trading last week.
Inspired by customer demands for Checkers stores in their neighbourhoods, the smaller format store offers the convenience, quality and value for which the supermarket chain is renowned.

The 950m² store provides employment to 90 people, including 61 newly created jobs, and is managed by Linda Chetty, who has been with the retailer for 23 years.
The store's trading hours are 07:00 to 19:00 from Mondays to Sundays.
